The students of Emerald 1 presented a vibrant Pongal Assembly titled “Pongal – A Harvest of Gratitude.” The programme highlighted the importance of Pongal as a festival of thanksgiving to nature, farmers, and animals.

Through narration, songs, and simple enactments, the children explained the four days of Pongal and the values they represent—gratitude, kindness, sharing, and togetherness. A special role play on the journey of a grain of rice reminded everyone to respect food and hard work.

The assembly concluded with a meaningful message and prayer, leaving the audience inspired by the true spirit of Pongal.
