The Congregation of the Presentation Sisters, was founded in 1775 by Nano Nagle, who was inspired by the Catholic Revival Movement. The order was established in Dublin, Ireland, and was initially called the Sisters of the Presentation. Nano Nagle, who was born into a wealthy family, was deeply devoted to her faith and felt a strong calling to serve the poor and marginalized. She believed that education was the key to empowering women and in improving their circumstances. So, she established schools and orphanages to provide education and care for those in need.

The Presentation Congregation quickly spread throughout Ireland and later to other parts of Europe and the world. Today, there are over 4,000 Presentation Sisters worldwide, serving in 15 countries. They came to India in 1842 and during the first hundred years, schools, dispensaries and hospitals were opened in Tamil Nadu, Goa, Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir. Since 1976, a new dimension has been added to the Presentation Mission as Sisters were assigned to some of the rural areas and city slums.

Today, the Presentation Sisters have a global presence. Their mission of spreading core values such as compassion, justice, hospitality and simplicity has made them unique and moved them to the forefront of their service in education. They emphasize academic excellence and the holistic development of individuals, nurturing their spiritual, intellectual, and social growth. through education, they empower individuals to reach their full potential and become agents of positive change in their communities. The Sisters continue Nano Nagle’s legacy, administrating schools and initiating educational programmes to cater to the modern requirements of the community. A fine example of this is the CHURCH PARK SCHOOL OF EXCELLENCE, formerly known as CHURCH PARK ICSE SCHOOL – a dream come true.

The Presentation Sisters have set another milestone in being the beacon of hope and transformation, embodying the spirit of Nano Nagle’s vision. By launching CHURCH PARK SCHOOL OF EXCELLENCE on 26th June 2024, they have begun another journey to inspire individuals to live with a purpose and make a positive impact in their own lives and on the lives of others.
