Workshop on Safe Use of Technology and Cyber Bullying

As part of the SCVA Committee’s initiatives to promote student safety and awareness, the Girl Up Cell Club from Stella Maris College, led by the Head of the Accounts Department, Ms. Timple, and trainer Mr. Aarvind Hara, conducted an interactive workshop on the Safe Use of Technology and Cyber Bullying at Church Park School of Excellence on 8th August 2025.

The session commenced with a PowerPoint presentation covering:
– Meaning of Safe Use of Technology
– Types of Bullying (including cyber bullying)
– Consequences of Bullying
– Relevant Legal Acts of the Government
– Preventive Measures & Responsible Digital Citizenship
The trainers shared real-life examples, legal insights, and practical tips for safe online behavior. Following the presentation, the team from Stella Maris enacted a lively musical street play highlighting the impact of bullying and the importance of empathy and support.

The programme concluded with a quiz to test students’ understanding, followed by a question-and-answer session and a feedback round where students expressed their learnings and reflections.

The event ended with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Ashana from Class 7C, appreciating the efforts of the SCVA team and the Girl Up Cell Club.
