The students of VII C conducted the Independence Day assembly on 12th of August 2025, in the school Hall. The theme for the assembly was ‘India Then, Now and Tomorrow’.

They portrayed the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters, Bhagat Singh, Velu Nachiyar, Subash Chandra Bose, Rani Lakshmi Bai and Mahatma Gandhi. They performed a dance that depicted different cultures of India. The students threw light upon the Presidents and Prime Ministers of India who shaped India from Independence till date. The students presented their contribution to the society to make India proud.

Their pledge, “We are India’s future, we promise to build a nation of peace, respect and progress. We will make India proud” showed their patriotism and commitment.

A video was played showing means of saving energy and not wasting food, uplifting the poor, contributing to a child’s future, women empowerment, safety, segregating waste before disposing, staying fit and healthy, growing more trees, respecting all citizens and helping each other.

The assembly ended with a meaningful Bible reading, prayer and a message from our Principal, Mrs. Hemamalini Sivakumar.
